As part of our operating plan with the USFS, we follow established protocols that enable us to utilize unmanned aerial  systems (drones) for different marketing or operations projects.  We recently conducted some early morning flights to gather a catalog of mountain photography ahead of the Vegetation Management Project.  This type of footage definitely provides a different perspective on the mountain.  As unique as these types of shots are, please remember that drone flights within or over our special use permitted boundary are not allowed by the public due to safety and operational concerns.  For more info on our drone policy, please visit our website here:

Monarch Mountain is an equal opportunity provider and operates under a special use permit with the Pike San Isabel National Forest.
