First and foremost I would like to thank all of you who have shown trust in us this season.  There is so much for which to be thankful.  I, for one, am extremely thankful for all that the community is doing to help get us through this crisis. Commissioner Greg Felt has put together a leadership team of community stakeholders who meet twice a week to take the collective pulse of the county and its preparedness. The participants consist of mayors, commissioners, city administrators, hospital administrators, economic development representatives, county health officials, Salida Business Alliance, local school district, and many more … myself included. It is comforting to hear them all express their sincere concerns for the county as a whole rather than what we locals know has always been a bit of a tug of war between the north and south ends. I will continue meeting with them throughout our season so to keep them informed as to what the ever-evolving reality exist on our hill as well as how our guests are partaking in all that our towns have to offer. This group has shown Monarch Mountain a tremendous amount of support for which I am deeply grateful.

Monarch Mountain is an equal opportunity provider and operates under a special use permit with the Pike San Isabel National Forest.
