Consistent Snowfall

The 2018-19 Winter Season has been a good one. While our YTD snowfall is just 257″ thus far, the water content in the snowpack has Colorado looking very good. Many of our storms have had a water content of 10% or greater which is quite high for our storms. As of today, the Arkansas River Basin (which Monarch Mountain snowmelt runs into) is up to 154% of average. We have reported snow on more days this season than days that we have not. Storms have been quite frequent and the time between storms has been short (Any dry spells we have had have averaged only 2.5 days). With that in mind, we do have a few days of sunshine coming up this weekend and into next week.
