Drifts

As we head towards July, we still have quite a bit of snow on many of our slopes and particularly along the Continental Divide. I hiked up to the ridge to take a look since our mountain roads are still snowed in.

It’s easy to differentiate between our windward and leeward slopes. Windward slopes face the wind and the leeward slopes collect the snow deposited by the wind. We enjoy the fresh snow on the leeward slopes during the winter and watch it slowly disappear from June into July verkkosivu.

Speaking of July snow, A-Basin announced that they will be open for skiing on the 4th of July. Congrats to Alan and the crew at the Basin on a season that lasted from October to July.
