Encouraging Signs

Hope all of you are doing well this new year. My New Year’s resolution is to focus on the positive to pave the way for the future.  The holidays have come and gone and I have to say that, all in all, things went rather swimmingly. The weather stayed pleasant enough for folks to enjoy the outdoors.  Our outdoor food outlets were a hit and truthfully, many of you ate in your cars or tailgated, for which I am extremely grateful. In fact, you all did so well I am hoping to get you to come visit indoors more often. Now that the peak season is behind us there is ample room to be indoors with us, especially Monday through Friday.  Any of those days there will be little to no wait for a table at the world-famous Sidewinder Saloon.  We have backed off our concerns for over crowding on weekends (with exception of MLK and Presidents’ Day weekends) and are allowing guests to purchase from the tickets windows the day of arrival. At times we may limit the amount we sell there, but I do not anticipate that happening very often. No need to reserve a buddy ticket any longer.

And … just to shake things up we are planning on moving the new Shredders Food Trailer to the bottom of the Panorama Lift in the Panorama Flats area where you see the historic cabin has been moved to.  Since our 2011 Master Development plan acceptance, we have always planned on a food outlet in this location … and it looks like we may get there sooner than later.  This summer we will enhance it by building a deck and outdoor bar area.  I don’t know how often you have stopped in this area and looked back up the mountain, but the views on a clear day are spectacular.  So envision yourself sitting in an Adirondack chair soaking in the sun, the views, and a brew.  We are shooting for MLK weekend to open it up.  Pretty exciting!

See?  … staying positive … staying positive.

See you on the Slopes!
