Well there is not a whole lot to update since last week. We continue to keep our operation in hibernation. We are getting folks back on the mountain and assuring our runoff is controlled appropriately. The entire State of Colorado is anxiously waiting for what Governor Polis has to say on May 25. This is the date that he has set for deciding upon the state of his “safe at home” policy as well as the possibility of opening restuarants and even … maybe … a ski resort. Arapahoe Basin is the only one interested in that prospect. We will see. While in hibernation mode we decided to tackle some of the things that have bothering us over the years. For one, the Season Pass Desk has become an evermore popular place to visit, for which we are extremely thankful. The current setup, though, was cumbersome and confusing for guests. So we remodeled the entire room to help accommodate all involved. This will now be called the Guest Service Desk. There is twice as many tellers, and several waiver kiosks, all of which will help alleviate those having to wait in line to simply pick up their pass but are stuck behind someone who is starting from the beginning. That is now a thing of the past. I even helped with the carpentry! Stay tuned … I promise to keep you posted on new developments about any more changes to our operation. There is certainly going to be more to come. Stay well.
