We have added more permanent snow fences around the mountain this fall. These fences protect areas and help collect snow that is transported by the wind. Our snowcat operators can then pass by these drifts and blade the snow to nearby areas where the wind may have scoured the slopes or additional snow is needed to level out the trail. We built new fences along Tenderfoot, Upper Glade, Sleepy Hollow, and near the top of Toddler and Sidewinder. We also added some protective snow fence around our snow study.
