The Monarch Mountain season pass offers some amazing ski away opportunities. I try to take advantage of this perk and visit a few of these every season. After taking a season off, we are once again working with Silverton Mountain as one of our Partner Resorts for the 2020-21 season. I have been down there skiing both guided and unguided about a dozen or so times over the years. As one that works at a ski area that takes pride in “Ski Independent”, I love that Silverton is all about that philosophy. This place is bare bones when it comes to amenities (besides the A-Star Helicopter flying overhead!). A tent at the bottom, a few classic shuttle buses and one chairlift taking you up 2000′ vert to incredible hike and ski options. The Heli is available for single drops or a full day. If you haven’t been down there, I definitely recommend taking advantage of this next year with discounted guided days and/or your free unguided day at Silverton on the Monarch Mountain Season Pass.
