With this great aerial shot taken from an airplane, it’s easy to see where thinning was conducted last summer. You can see evidence of work completed in the tree islands along Gunbarrel Ridge, down along the Sleepy Hollow corridor, Lower Glade, zones around the Tumbelina Lift in addition to over by Freeway and Lower No Name. We plan to continue timber work this summer thinning out additional dense tree islands that have been affected by the Spruce beetle.

Monarch Mountain is an equal opportunity provider and operates under a special use permit with the Pike San Isabel National Forest.
