With the cool and stormy weather in May, the State’s snowpack is still sitting on the peaks in the high country. With warmer temps finally starting to arrive and more in the forecast, look for runoff to get going in earnest. The overnight low on Monarch Pass looks to stay above the freezing level all week. Rivers and streams will be running extremely high this month and the peak flow will be well above the median averages.
