Looks like snow is on the way! Enjoy.
Today is the winter solstice. It’s the shortest day, the longest night, and the official start of winter. It hasn’t felt like winter lately as we’ve had a long string of sunny and warm days in December. While it was a great start with the early opening and there is still decent coverage on the mountain, we are ready for…
With the Mirkwood hike-to open now, some of the best views on the mountain are just a hike away.

Monarch has continued to invest in our fleet with the goal of providing an outstanding snow surface for our guests on everything from…
Here is an incredible close-up photo of the freshly cut ski trails in No Name Basin. It’s so exciting to think about having a lift back there next season and lapping all of those lines. Meanwhile, this terrain is available for our cat skiing guests this season. Thanks to Dave from MCS for such a great shot!
Today we will open the Outback and Shagnasty trails. These trails offer wind loaded bowl skiing that funnels down into some fun glades before reaching the Pano flats. We now have all of our lift served terrain open! Enjoy.
In my earlier post on November 23rd, I outlined our upcoming goals for trail/lift openings and tubing operations. With the huge storm and the dedication of our Mtn Ops team, we have accomplished all of those goals in six days. We now turn to opening our next lift and big piece of terrain. The Patrol team has conducted ski cutting…
