We have a variety of dining options to satisfy your appetite. From grab-and-go fair to full service sit-down, you’re sure to find just what you want that’ll keep you going. Monarch season passholders receive 10% off food and beverages (not including alcohol) at all of our dining venues.
Java Stop is located on the mid-level floor in the main lodge near the Gunbarrel Grill. We've partnered with Brown Dog Coffee to bring you the freshest, locally roasted coffee and espresso. Along with hot chocolate, hot tea, sandwiches, baked goods and lighter to-go fare make this a great, first morning stop for coffee and a breakfast sandwich, a quick mid-day stop for a power drink and sandwich, or an end of day stop to grab a java or hot chocolate for that drive home.
Considered one of the best restaurants in Ski Country, the Sidewinder Saloon features full-service sit-down dining, locally crafted beer and spirits, and a full menu. Try one of our juicy Angus Beef burgers and a specialty bloody mary, or share our famous nachos or bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers with a friend. The Sidewinder Saloon is the perfect break spot for a relaxing lunch and to check up on the latest sports scores. The Sidewinder is busiest between 11:30 - 1:00, especially on weekends and holidays. Come in a little earlier or later on these days to avoid the lunch rush.
Elmo’s is the local’s secret watering hole conveniently located on the mid-level floor in the Pioneer Room. Here, we serve up tamales, stadium style nachos, cocktails, beer and, of course, our house-made bloody marys complete with bacon (if you want)! Swing by and take a load off with a refreshing beverage. (Elmo’s is named after Elmo Bevington who purchased Monarch in 1968 and is responsible for some of the early improvements on the mountain, such as the installation of the Breezeway and Garfield lifts, both which have been modified and updated in the years since then.)
You don’t even need to come inside for a hardy meal! Fly-By Burritos is our food truck parked right up to the deck off the main lodge. The colossal burritos or burrito bowls is all the fuel you need to recharge and get back out on the slopes. Beers and other beverages are also conveniently available. Enjoy a break on the deck or, if your pocket’s big enough, you can pack a burrito in your pocket to enjoy later.
The Gunbarrel Grill is your one stop shop to feed the whole family and is located on the mid-level floor in the main lodge. Delicious double patty smashburgers, hot and fresh pizza, soft pretzels, hot dogs, salads, chicken tenders, snacks, beers, beverages and more are available in a convenient grab-and go format in this cafeteria-style eatery. Seating is available just around the corner in the Pioneer Room, downstairs on the lower level, or outside on the deck or in any of the Adirondack chairs (outside) around the lodge.
