It was a pretty sweet April Fool’s Day with 3″ of fresh snow this morning. We had a surprisingly beautiful day and it finally started snowing again in the late afternoon. Tomorrow could be a sneaky good day…I’m not kidding.
Another storm is on the horizon with a return to winter on the way. It’s looking like we will have some overnight snow along with a few more rounds on Monday and Monday night. We had a Thundersnow event around 4pm which was immediately followed by about five to six hours of intense snowfall with rates of up to 2″ per hour. By the time I went to sleep…
What’s better than a spring hike? When it’s followed by a spring ski. The boot pack up to the top of Mirkwood is a perfect stairway right now after several days of high and dry weather. We have seen some warm afternoons this week with the first taste of spring skiing and corn snow. It may be a short-lived event…
It was just about perfect today.
