Commitment to Our Community: Season Pass Prices Remain Steady

Guest blog post from Chris Haggerty, Monarch Mountain General Manager:

Dear Monarch Mountain Community,

With a 50% increase in skiable terrain on the horizon, it would be easy to assume that season pass prices will rise as well. How big will that increase be? And does Monarch Mountain truly value its loyal passholders?

Let me put your mind at ease. We are proud to share that the price increase for existing season passholders during our first renewal period will be exactly $0. That’s right, there is no price increase for those renewing before April 30, 2025.

Our passholders are a big part of why we are expanding into the No Name Terrain. This is our way of saying thank you for your continued support and loyalty. Monarch Mountain is a special place because of the local families and outdoor enthusiasts who make it their winter home.

Our expansion is about enhancing your experience by improving access, upgrading facilities, and ensuring that Monarch remains a beloved destination for generations to come. However, one thing that won’t change is our commitment to affordability and accessibility. We know that for many, sliding on snow is more than a sport, it’s a way of life and we’re dedicated to keeping it within reach.

At Monarch, we believe in the spirit of independence. It’s about finding your own line, embracing the freedom of open terrain, and experiencing natural snow without the crowds. That’s why “Ski Independent” isn’t just a tagline, it’s our promise to you.

We deeply appreciate our community. Your passion and enthusiasm inspire us to improve and grow while staying true to what makes Monarch unique. We remain committed to delivering the same family-friendly, authentic, and accessible experience you’ve come to love.

On a personal note, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the warm welcome my family has received since moving to Chaffee County. This community has already exceeded our expectations, and I look forward to many seasons of adventure together.
