Join us today (1/19/25) as part of NSAA National Safety Month for backcountry education and activities. Check out backcountry merchandise vendors and take part in backcountry educational activities offered by Friends of Colorado Avalanche Information Center, Greater Arkansas River Nature Association, Colorado Mtn Club, and Monarch Ski Patrol.

Schedule:

9am-3pm: Equipment Demos and Educational Booths
11 AM – 12 PM - Uphill Ski w/ a Naturalist
Throughout Day - Avalanche awareness Sessions, Avalanche Beacon & Float Bag Demonstrations

Ski with a Naturalist is this Friday! (1/17/25)

Ski with a Naturalist is this Friday! (1/17/25)

Join us for a free skiing/boarding tour on beginner runs led by a trained Naturalist. The on-mountain lift accessed tours highlight Monarch’s forest ecology, wildlife in the winter, the recreational history of Monarch Pass, and the Monarch USFS Partnership.

Huge shout out to GARNA, the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association for coordinating this incredible program.

The skiing public meets the Naturalist at 11:00 AM at the sign near Ski Patrol/Cat Yurt. There is no sign-up required. Participants must have a season pass or day ticket to participate.
