Haul Rope

The haul rope for the new lift in No Name Basin has arrived and is now on site at Monarch.  This rope is manufactured by Fatzer AG in Switzerland who specializes in producing and distributing high quality steel wire rope around the globe.  The haul rope for our new lift is comprised of twenty-five individual wires in each of the six strands.  The six strands are then woven together around a center core to form the completed haul rope.  It is an engineering marvel how these ropes are produced and the amount of strength that they provide.  Later this fall, the haul rope will be installed on the tower assemblies and we will conduct the rope splice that ties the two ends of the rope together. Stay tuned.
