We still have a little snow lurking in the shadows of our north facing slopes.  Here is a peek at Mirkwood Basin.  We are watching the weather and starting our annual rituals to make winter happen.  It looks like a potential change in the pattern around mid-November.  It’s not looking like a significant storm yet, but a break in the persistent ridge of high pressure would be a good thing.

Meanwhile, we are getting things going with our Kick Off to Winter event on Saturday at the Salida Steamplant.  There will be festivities in the ballroom starting at 5pm ahead of the showing of Warren Miller’s Sno-Ciety at 7pm.  Let’s kick it off!
