When does winter season start and end?
Estimated season start is sometime in November and closing around mid-April. We rely on natural snow coverage to operate so if there is minimal early season snow, opening may be delayed or closing may be moved to an earlier or later date. Due to the weather dependent opening date, early season working hours may be limited in November and December until we are fully open.

Year-round and summer staff work to improve, maintain, and prepare for the upcoming season. In addition, we have staff available to answer questions, purchase season passes, make reservations, and operate our other venues (The Crest at the top of Monarch Pass and The Outpost in downtown Salida). Year-round positions become available sporadically but are limited. If available, you can view and apply online here.
