I’m still trying to get out a few times per week for a ski tour. It’s been a warm week and some areas are starting to melt around the base area. However, there is still a lot of snow up on the mountain. It’s all about choosing the right time of day to get out when it’s not a frozen ocean or a sea of mashed potatoes. The transition season from spring to summer is always an interesting one where we can see everything in a day. Cold mornings, warm mid-day with some afternoon flurries thrown in there. Anyway, it’s still nice to get out of the base area and take a look at things. Is that Monarch Mountain at the Crest that I see up there?
