MCS

Monarch Cat Skiing is up and running!  Our program offers guided backcountry tours on 1635 acres of incredible terrain located to the north of the ski area.

We had a few small groups go out in January with very limited terrain available.  However, the Cat Skiing crew remained diligent in working the terrain with each passing storm.  These efforts included utilizing our disruption roller, explosive testing of the snowpack, and ski cutting/stepping through start zones and cliff bands.

With the last few weeks of snow, the terrain has opened up with some pretty nice skiing and riding along Dog Ridge, North Elation, Hall of Kings, and in the upper No Name Bowl.

UPDATE: Monday-March 9th.  Our guides and operators have done their best for several months to work the terrain and build over the snow roads.  We thank them for their diligence and hard work.  However, due to the tough snow conditions, MCS will not be conducting tours for the rest of the season.  Our reservations team will automatically refund guests that had booked a trip with Monarch Cat Skiing.  Thank you for your understanding.
