Monarch Drive Terminal

The top terminal for the new Tomichi Lift is taking shape.  The enclosure assembly has been constructed and we can really start to see how incredible this new lift is going to be.  Unlike our other drive terminals that are located at the base of the lift, this one sits at the top, high upon the spine of the Continental Divide.  This lift is going to be a game changer and open up the option to drop off either side of the Divide and catch a ride back to the top.

This drive terminal model is manufactured by Skytrac and is officially called the “Monarch”.  We were Skytrac’s very first customer back in 2010 when we were replacing the bottom drive terminal of the Garfield Lift.  We also replaced the bottom drive terminal at Breezeway as well with the same model in 2014.

In recognition of Monarch’s formative relationship with Skytrac, they named the drive terminal after our ski area.  The Monarch drive terminals are now built all over the North American ski industry landscape.  With the first completely new lift installation since the Pioneer lift was built in 1999, of course we chose Skytrac to pull off this exciting new project at Monarch.  Full circle indeed.
