The construction on the top motor room for the new Tomichi Lift is underway.  This includes the installation of the 250 horsepower motor, gearbox, and drive bullwheel.  These components will run the triple chairs (carriers) up and down the 2908 linear foot lift line.  The crew from Skytrac contracted with our local crane operators over at Terry’s Crane & Rigging based in Poncha Springs, CO.  These guys handle a bunch of heavy lifting around the Rocky Mountains and we are lucky to have them close by.  As a local and independent ski area, we really enjoy that so many of our local contractors are involved in the construction and development of No Name Basin.  Keeping it real (and local) since 1939!
