We just received our brand new Prinoth Bison snowcat this week. This snowcat is designed to deliver perfectly groomed slopes on a variety of terrain. Monarch has continued to invest in our fleet with the goal of providing an outstanding snow surface for our guests on everything from bunny slopes to steep drops. We now have nine snowcats in our fleet here at Monarch. Our current inventory consists of two backcountry cabin cats (each hold up to 12 guests along with guides) used by Monarch Cat Skiing, two winch cats for tethered grooming on steep slopes, and five free-grooming cats. Our free-groomer snowcats are used for everything from grooming trails, to dozing snow, to building over the snow roads, to creating terrain park jumps, ramps, and rollers. Out of our fleet of nine snowcats, four of these are new snowcat purchases that Monarch ownership has made within the last five years. This significant investment by Monarch Mountain allows our Slope Maintenance department to deliver perfect cord on dozens of trail every day.  Enjoy those perfect pistes!
