As promised, Monarch has delivered with more trail openings. The Patrol team opened up all of “Pano Ridge” on Saturday afternoon and the “Uppers” pod adjacent to the Garfield Lift on Sunday. The crew worked incredibly hard to hang tower pads, step rock bands, ski-cut, string ropes, place signs, and open a ton of advanced terrain. Be sure to thank…
This is just what the doctor ordered! Today’s storm is coming in strong and delivering the goods. The snow is more dense (almost 12% water content) than our recent storms and is perfect for continuing to build our base. Patrol is out working the terrain and there should be some significant trail openings headed your way!
The Panorama AND the Garfield Lifts are now OPEN! All but one of the blue trails on Pano along with the Skywalker (green) trail is OPEN. Our Ski Patrol team can now station at the top and continue to work on additional Pano Ridge terrain. Opening Garfield makes the return for a lift ride much easier for skiers/riders making laps…
We’re officially open for the 2025/26 winter season and the stoke is high! Huge shout out to our Mountain Ops team for pulling it off with short notice. Due to safety concerns and our need to keep crews focused on opening tasks, all permitted slopes at the ski area will be…
The upcoming storm is taking shape and the forecast for Monarch Pass is looking good. Not just the first wave on Sunday into Monday but later into the week as well. We are rounding up all of our crews and will be working to make the most of this storm. We are hopeful that the incoming snowfall will get us…
We may not be open for skiing and riding yet, but we still have a lot to be thankful for. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the contractors, businesses and government entities that worked tirelessly to complete the project in No Name Basin. We couldn’t have done it without all of these amazing groups of people.…
We picked up 8″ of snow over the weekend. With this latest snowfall, our Slope Maintenance crew was finally able to get some snowcats out on the mountain. Our first strategy each season is to track pack the trails which helps to roughen up the snow surface and create micro-windrows that can help catch subsequent snowfall. Compacting the snow layers…
