Today is the winter solstice. It’s the shortest day, the longest night, and the official start of winter. It hasn’t felt like winter lately as we’ve had a long string of sunny and warm days in December. While it was a great start with the early opening and there is still decent coverage on the mountain, we are ready for more snow. It looks like the ridging pattern could break down and let some storms through as we head towards the holiday week. I know what I want for Christmas.
