You can’t really see the top and the wind is biting your cheek.  The boot pack is filling with wind driven snow and the footsteps ahead are fading.  No overheating on these types of weather days, so that’s a plus.  Just put one foot in front of the other and before you know it, you are nearing the top.  Out of the storm cloud, the Mirk sign appears.  Gear up and drop in.
