With the lean winter and a couple weeks of very warm weather, the mountain is changing day to day, and even hour to hour  There are a few hours in the late morning where corn snow can be found on the groomed slopes.  Once it approaches mid-day or early afternoon, it’s time for slushy bumps, a lap on the wiggle, or an impromptu pond skim.  Our thin snowpack has made for a quick transition to conditions that represent more of a late spring/early summer feel up here at Monarch.  The Slope Maintenance team has done an amazing job holding it together and continues to link lifts and terrain together.  Come on up and get a few more turns before it’s all over!
