FAQ:
What are the hours of tubing operations?
The Tubing Park will be open Friday through Sunday and during holidays and peak times. Tubing times start at 10:00am and are sold in 90 minute blocks. The last start time is 2:30pm. The Tubing Park closes at 4pm.
Can more than one-person ride on a tube?
Only one person can ride in a tube at a time. Children age 6 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult on a separate tube.
How old or how tall do you have to be to tube?
There are no age restrictions, however, each person must be at least 36 inches tall and able to ride in the tube alone.
Can I bring my own sled or tube?
Only Monarch tubes are allowed in the Tubing Park.
Can I tube longer than 1 hour?
Additional same-day hours for the same person can be purchased based on availability. Additional hours must be purchased before you walk away from your first hour to obtain a discount (not valid during peak times).
How do I get back up the hill after my tube ride?
Each tube has a pull/hook strap attached to it. At the bottom of your ride, you will take the short walk, with your tube, to the loading station. The strap hooks to the tow line and you sit in the tube. The tow line will pull you back to the top.
Does the weather affect the tubing ride?
As long as weather conditions are conducive for tubing, we will keep operations running, even when it’s snowing.
Can I purchase a tubing pass for the entire season?
This is not currently an option. However, with a Monarch Season Pass, you can enjoy 50% off Tubing Admission, walk-in only, based on availability; blackout dates may apply.
What do I need to wear for snow-tubing?
Warm clothing is a must: winter gloves, a hat, warm boots with traction, eye protection from the sun, a coat and snow pants. If you don’t have a coat or appropriate pants, you can rent these items from our Sports Shop on the main level of the lodge. We do not rent glasses, goggles or gloves.
Can I wear my ski or snowboard boots while tubing?
Yes, although ski boots are discouraged.
Do I need to wear a helmet while tubing?
Helmets are encouraged but not required. Helmets can be rented in the Rental & Lesson Center.
Can I walk to/from the Tubing Park and ski/snowboard hill?
Yes. The tubing hill is a short walk from the main entrance.
Can I use my tubing ticket to go skiing or snowboarding?
No, tubing tickets are separate from lift tickets.
Can I get a refund if I don’t like the conditions?
Refunds are only available up to 48 hours prior to your reserved tubing time. We do not refund based on conditions.
Can I ride a tube head first?
Going head first is not possible since you must sit inside the tube.
Do you ever run out of tubes?
We have a maximum number of participants at all times to ensure that we have enough tubes available.
How long are the tickets good for?
Your ticket will allow you to ride for one and a half hours.
