We continue to watch the weather forecasts while we wait for snow.  This includes both the short-term and long-term forecasts.  My go to sites for the weather forecasts on Monarch Pass include NWS, Open Snow, CAIC Point Forecast, and the Climate Prediction Center.  There are a few others out there that I also put into the mix.  We have seen about 20″ of snow up here so far this fall.  We have to remind ourselves that it is still early and we are actally weeks away from the official calendar start to winter.  The pattern does look to be trending towards some more active weather in both the short-term and long-term forecasts.  The CPC just updated their outlook and the core winter months are looking encouraging.  Winter will come.  Stay positive and stay tuned.
