The 2024/25 multi-week programs are designed to inspire and elevate one’s passion for controlled sliding on snow whether on skis or a snowboard. Our certified Coaches are dedicated to improving and expanding your youth’s skiing or snowboarding skills while having fun and creating life-long friendships along the way. Pathways for continuing education in a recreational or a competitive direction are now more clearly defined.

Introduce your little one to the joy of skiing and sliding on snow. This program offers small group learning and memorable life experiences. Certified Instructors provide a fun and controlled environment using games and activities to practice movement patterns and foster an appreciation for the sport. Enjoy the mountain with your child! The Butterflies program is designed for new or progressing skiers with an experienced accompanying adult. This unique program allows young kids who are not yet old enough to ride a chair lift alone to experience more of the mountain. Choose either Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.

Do you like adventures, hanging out with friends, and skiing the whole mountain? If so, Adventurers is for you! Join your friends or make new ones during this six week ski or snowboard program at Monarch Mountain. You can choose to spend the day on the mountain being an Adventurer on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday starting in January.
Each week the adventure starts with what nature offers. If it’s a powder day, say Yay! If you want to ski or snowboard the whole mountain, Monarch certified coaches will give you the skills and drills to tackle even the hardest runs. If your style of adventuring is cruising the greens and blues, you’ll be matched with others that prefer to ski or snowboard the same trails as you!

If you’re looking to enroll your child in an additional program day, cost would be an additional $479 to include Fridays or Sundays, or an additional $519 to include Saturdays.
For skiers and boarders with a competitive edge! Intro to Comp is for intermediate to advanced athletes seeking to challenge themselves with a focus on Big Mountain Freeride competition. IFSA certified coaches will challenge athletes to reach their potential by developing skills for skiing and riding all of Monarch’s terrain. Intro to Comp develops independence and all mountain skiing and riding focused on the fundamentals of the International Freeride Ski and Snowboard Association. Throughout the session, athletes participate in on-mountain mock comps and each training day includes a hike to reach challenging terrain to advance skills and tactics towards eventually representing Monarch as a member of the Freeride Team.

If you’d like to enroll your child in both Fridays AND Saturdays (16 sessions), the cost would be an additional $539.
Monarch’s Freeride competition team is for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders who spend the season training for and traveling the International Freeskiers and Snowboard Association (IFSA) Rocky Mountain regional and national competitions. As representatives of Monarch, athletes are held to a high standard and are coached by IFSA certified coaches. Previous participation in Monarch’s Intro to Comp program, Freeride program or proof of participation in an IFSA program from another resort is required.

Up to 18 weeks, twice per week; 7 hours each session
8:30pm – 3:30pm, 1 hr unsupervised lunch
Starts on Opening Weekend and meets Saturdays AND Sundays through 3/23/25.
Cancellations are accepted 48 hours or more prior to the start of the program for a refund less the price of the included season pass. No make-up days for missed sessions and no switching between days. Equipment is not included.
