I love to ski. If you do too, you may want to use one of your partner resorts days visiting our friends up at Loveland Ski Area. I recently had the chance to do so. With your Monarch Season Pass, you have the opportunity to experience several other areas that we team up with on our long list of partner…
The solar eclipse was the event of the day. While we did not see totality in Colorado, it was still a really fun experience to feel the mid-day cool down, experience a subdued light cast over the ski area, and break out the solar glasses to catch a glimpse of the lunar event. There was a gathering at the top…
We returned to a little warmer temps and some blue skies this afternoon despite the wind sticking around for another day. Our Lift Maintenance team was able to run an additional lift today although Breezeway never made the list due to continued gusts on the ridgeline. There should be some pretty good skiing on that side of the mountain tomorrow…

It was a pretty sweet April Fool’s Day with 3″ of fresh snow this morning. We had a surprisingly beautiful day and it finally started snowing again in the late afternoon. Tomorrow could be a sneaky good day…I’m not kidding.
Another storm is on the horizon with a return to winter on the way. It’s looking like we will have some overnight snow along with a few more rounds on Monday and Monday night. I love this time of year when you can experience all kinds of weather during the week, during the day, and even by the hour.
Monarch is keeping an eye on the No Name terrain expansion as the USFS review process continues. We are hopeful that they will issue the final Decision Notice to approve the project prior to the snow melting so that work can begin in earnest this summer. Meanwhile, we have been collaborating and planning with Xcel Energy for power upgrades, timber…
It’s been quite a week of snow with 28″ in the last seven days. The mountain is still skiing great and it looks like we have a bit of snow in the forecast this weekend and into early next week. With the season winding down in April, be sure to get up here to take advantage of these fantastic conditions.
