Most of you have experienced the ride as the Pioneer Lift passes high over Garfield. While these two lifts pretty much access the same side of the mountain, each of them play an important role come winter time. Garfield is a local’s favorite to spin laps on a powder morning. It easily accesses the “Uppers” trails along with Kanonen, Lobo and some of our favorite glade skiing. The Pioneer Lift is a longer ride where families and beginner skiers can ride together, enjoy the view, and end up at the top of some of our most popular green trails. Garfield is our seven day/week work horse while Pioneer is more of a weekend warrior helping out with additional uphill capacity on our busier days. Several other ski areas utilize ski lifts that cross over one another. Check this link out to see a few more crossing lifts.
