The next round of the Monarch Pass Vegetation Management project is underway. The cutting crew has started working on the Panorama Ridge. They are focusing on felling the dead and dying trees infested by the spruce beetle. There are numerous mature trees on this NE aspect that have been affected by the beetles andorramed.com. The trees will be removed via helicopter in September. The ridge will look quite different after this next round of thinning and the skiing/riding will be crazy good.
