Monarch Mountain will host its third International Freeskiing Association (IFSA) event on Sunday. The event will include participants ranging in age from 10-18. The event is a sanctioned IFSA event for ages 10-12 and a Friendly event for the other age groups andrikofarmakeio.com. The event will be held on Sunday, February 24th from 10am-3pm in Mirkwood Bowl and Orcs. These areas will be closed to the public during the event. It is possible to access the base of Mirkwood for viewing the event by skiing/riding down through Mirkwood Trees or Down Elation 0-2.

The event involves freeriding or freeskiing, which is snowboarding or skiing on all natural, ungroomed terrain, without a set course, goals or rules. The main objective is to take a clean and aesthetic line while showcasing your skiing or riding skills. These competitors thrive on untracked trails in all natural conditions that may include cliffs, hucks, and other native features.

Monarch Mountain is an equal opportunity provider and operates under a special use permit with the Pike San Isabel National Forest.
