The snow has been slow to come off this year after a solid winter season and an active spring storm pattern. The south and west aspects are starting to burn through, but the north and east slopes are still holding quite a bit of snow. The crew has been busy plowing roads and dealing with runoff. Each spring we need to clear our culverts, ditches and check dams to ensure that water goes where we want it to. At the headwaters of the South Arkansas River, we are the first ones to see the start of runoff. The main Arkansas flow has come up drastically in the last week and the Gorge is almost at 3k. There goes the ski season!
