Monarch Park is located just east of the ski area below the highway. In the summertime, it is a beautiful wetlands with streams, ponds and lush green vegetation. This area is supplied with runoff moisture from the ski area along with the top of the pass, Old Monarch and Monarch Ridge. During the winter, it is busy with snowmobiling, dog sledding and cross country skiing. During the summer months, there is a USFS campground at the western edge of the park. Overall, it’s a pretty nice spot to hang out.
