We’ve been checking the horizon every day for our next storm. While we have seen around two feet of snow thus far, it has been spread out over the last six weeks. Most of the mountain is still covered in a blanket of snow. So, we at least have some ground cover that is reflecting the sun and starting to cool the ground. We really need 1-2′ of snow as our base layer in order to get snowcats out track-packing the mountain. The rest of this week looks to be more of the same while over the Thanksgiving week there may be a better chance for some storms moving in. The seasonal outlook is updated monthly on the CPC website with shorter time frames forecasted more often. Think snow!
