We have formally received approval for a 2.2 acre expansion on the Paradise Lot and are prepared to start construction early next week.  The Forest Service analyzed this under a Categorical Exclusion Review (CE) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  This review was summarized under a Finding of Applicability and No Extraordinary Circumstance (FANEC) and approved by the Forest Supervisor for the Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands (PSICC).  If you ever get a chance to work with environmental planning the number one skill you should work on is your acronyms.  All kidding aside, this is a huge milestone for this much needed parking expansion that will create approximately 260 more on site parking spaces and improve of our ski in/ski out access to this lot.  We will continue to update you through the construction process and we will be tailgating here before we know it!
