Paradise Timber

We received our final timber contract yesterday morning so our crew was able to officially start on the Paradise expansion.  While they weren’t able to start until after lunch, the crew was already moving forward full bore by the end of the day.  The first step in the construction process is to get the slash and timber cleared so that none of this organic material ends up in the fill slope.  Organics break down over time and can create voids that can cause slope failure years down the line.  As with most projects, spending the extra time up front to do it right will pay dividends for years to come.  Every project is also seems like we get to try out a new piece of equipment and so far this Terramac RT14R Crawler Carrier has shown it is perfect for getting slash out of this complicated terrain.
