As has been the case lately here at Monarch, our storm outproduced the forecast early this morning in delivering a quick six inches of snow.  We reported 4″ at 5:30am and picked up a few more inches before the storm subsided mid-morning.  It was one of those days where we thought we would only get a few inches of snow but ended up with a sneaky good pow day.  While it was a little chilly, it really wasn’t as drastic as what the forecasters had predicted.. As a result, it was even a light visitation day for the Saturday of MLK weekend.  For those that were at Monarch today, they had an amazing day on the mountain with much of it to themselves.  Tomorrow should have some excellent skiing/riding as well, although the temps do look to drop a bit more.  For those that can brave the elements, enjoy!
