Our snowcat operators have been out track packing over the last few weeks and are now further testing the grooming equipment. While the blade is one of the most important items on the cat as it pushes snow where it needs to be while leveling the slopes, the tiller is the tool that creates the magical surface we ski on. The tiller is located at the rear of the cat and includes a component called a cutter bar. The cutter bar spins at high revolutions and has teeth that process the snow. Behind the cutter bar are the combs that drag behind the cat leaving the rows of corduroy behind the snowcat. Groomed trails are coming.
