One of our projects this summer is trail grading on a side hill section of Mule Train (stay tuned for more info later).  The first part of any dirt work at Monarch is the installation of Erosion Control measures which are a huge part of protecting the wetlands and creeks within the ski area.  We utilize certified weed free and biodegradable wattles along with silt fence and natural slash to prevent any disturbed soil from leaving the construction site.  A big thanks to all the summer crew who spent the morning hiking all these wattles and silt fences out to the construction site so they can get installed ahead of this project.  Many hands make light work!
