We picked up our first significant snowfall of the season. The earlier rounds of snow this fall seemed to come and go, but it’s likely that this latest storm will stick around on the north slopes for the duration of the season. Looking out at the long range forecast, it appears that there could be some more winter activity towards the latter part of the month. The seasonal forecast is calling for El Niño conditions which tend to lead to storms rolling off the Pacific with more of a southern flow into the Continental United States. Checking the Climate Prediction Center site, most of Colorado has equal chances for typical snowfall during the next few months. Keep your eyes on the skies, do your snow dance, and stay tuned.
