I was able to get out on the mountain for a little ski tour yesterday afternoon. Actually, it was more of a winter walk with just a 10″ settled base right now. There was enough snow coverage to skin up on skis and check out the initial coverage around the mountain, but definitely not adequate for slashing turns (although a few brave? souls have tried). It’s a long season people…be careful! Reminder to all that a current 2022-23 Uphill Pass is required for accessing the mountain prior to the ski area opening for the season. Be sure to have one. We will also shut down uphill access for a week as we get closer to our opening operations. We are off to a decent start here for the month of October with some more snow in the forecast next week. Keep your fingers crossed that we keep up this active weather pattern into November!
