It definitely could have been the best day of the season today with 14″ of snow overnight. Last night’s storm came in with a vengeance. We had a Thundersnow event around 4pm which was immediately followed by about five to six hours of intense snowfall with rates of up to 2″ per hour. By the time I went to sleep last night, it had snowed 10″ and I knew we were in for something good today. It tapered off just a bit overnight allowing the crew on the highway and the mountain to catch up and get things in order. The locals were here and it was a full on feeding frenzy. It’s been snowing all day and tomorrow looks to be another great day of powder turns. Enjoy!
