Before any project breaks ground it is critical that we have our Erosion Control (EC) measures in place.  I talked a little about that some of these measures in a previous post but wanted to share this photo of them installed.  In this photo you can see the reinforced silt fence with it’s toe trenched in to prevent water or soil from running under the fence.  This fence is backed up with wattles (not visible) and wood slash and native vegitation which provides multiple layers of filtration for any runoff prior to leaving the job site.  With monsoon season right around the corner we are feeling good that all the dirt we are moving will stay right where we want it and keep sediment out of any wetlands or streams.
