Today was a perfect day with blue skies and soft snow. We’ve reported new snow on seventeen of the last eighteen days and received two feet of fresh snow in the last seven days. It goes without saying, that the mountain is in very good shape and the conditions are excellent right now on all aspects and elevations.
There are plenty of pow stashes lingering in the trees and our slope grooming crew continues to branch out adding new trails such as Shagnasty and Mirage to the mix. Our Ski Patrol team has the mountain open wall to wall with East Trees and its steep and rocky lines opening today. The Cat Skiing calendar is booking up for January and we are in a very good place right now from an operations standpoint.
This week will deliver some additional clear days like we had today, although we should have some warming temps. Next weekend will bring the MLK holiday along with more snow in the forecast. If you can swing it, take advantage of the quiet weekdays to get some ski and ride time in. You will be glad you did.
