The lift line for the No Name lift has been cleared from top to bottom. This involved cutting and processing the timber, hauling it up the slope utilizing the Ponsse forwarder with its integrated winch system, and finally masticating all of the slash on the trail corridor. This final step cleans up the timber debris, creates a skiable surface and trails that can more easily be groomed, adds organic material back to the disturbed soils and provides erosion control for large rain events and next year’s runoff. This photo looks up the lift line from a few hundred feet above the bottom terminal location. The top terminal location is still out of sight from this vantage point and lies about a thousand linear feet beyond the horizon line. Seeing the trails reach this stage really gives us a sense of what this terrain will be like to ski and ride in the winter. Just add snow!…(and a lift;).
