Sheaves

Several sheave trains for the new lift in No Name Basin have started to arrive.  These lift components consist of a series of individual sheave wheels that support and guide the haul rope of the chairlift.  The wheels have a groove in the sheave liner that smoothly guides the direction of the haul rope as it moves up and down the lift line.  These sheave trains attach to the cross-arms of the towers along the line and at the top and bottom terminals.  At these terminus areas, they work to direct the haul rope into and out from the bullwheel.  It’s feeling like Christmas at Monarch with new lift parts showing up every few days!
