Many of you know him from his years with Monarch, but I wanted to share a little more about our Director of Hospitality, Michael Ingram.  Currently Michael oversees all Food and Beverage, Retail, and interior Crest Operations but he has done so much more for both Monarch and myself than just running those complex operations.  When I moved from Lift Ops to F&B in 2008, Michael hired me (when I finally showed up for the season) and threw me right into the fire of working multiple venues over Christmas Break.  Over the 7 years he was my direct supervisor in F&B, he spent so much time explaining all the different nuances of how to manage both people and processes within a department.  Michael has a way of breaking down complex and subtle differences into easy-to-understand concepts.  He is the best teacher and mentor that we have at Monarch and anyone who wants to grow at Monarch should spend some quality time picking his brain.  Finally, I just want to point out that Michael is possibly the most compassionate and caring person I have ever known.  I count myself fortunate to count him as a deep friend for almost 20 years.
